Job Summary Sunly Home is the Independent Solar Energy Specialist provider behind Lowe's Home Improvement's Solar Variable Referral Program (VRP) — available to customers in select locations across the country. That means you're not cold-knocking neighborhoods. You're working inside a Fortune 100 retailer that millions of homeowners already trust, engaging customers who came in with a project mindset. If you already know how to close solar, this is the best seat in the industry. The Opportunity Most solar reps spend 60% of their time generating leads door-to-door. Here, Lowe's foot traffic does the heavy lifting. Your job is to engage homeowners who are already in a buying mindset, qualify them, set appointments for a solar consultation — then close. This is a high-autonomy, commission-only role. No base salary, no ceiling, no hand-holding. The reps who thrive here are already proven closers who want a better lead environment.
Compensation Average commission per install:
~$8,000• Monthly target: 4 installs/month On-target annual earnings: ~$384,000 Base salary: Commission Only (1099 or W-2 draw, based on state)Earnings Scale:
2 installs/month = ~$192,000/yr 4 installs/month = ~$384,000/yr (target) 6 installs/month = ~$576,000/yr 10 installs/month = ~$960,000/yr •Commission per install varies higher or lower based on system size, sun hours, and EPC redline. ~$8,000 reflects a typical residential install. Be Straight With You Commission-only means your income is directly tied to your results. The figures above assume consistently closing at target — achievable for experienced reps in this environment, but not guaranteed. If you need a guaranteed paycheck, this role isn't for you. Duties Engage Lowe's customers on the floor and identify homeowners interested in energy savings Qualify prospects using the Lowe's Solar VRP framework and set in-home solar consultations Conduct or coordinate solar consultations and close signed agreements Manage your own pipeline and follow up with leads diligently Represent Sunly Home and the Lowe's brand with professionalism at all times Meet monthly install targets with a goal of 4+ installs per month Requirements 1+ year of solar sales experience (required) Proven track record of closing deals — not just setting appointments Comfortable self-generating leads in a retail environment Disciplined, self-motivated, and not dependent on manager oversight Confident enough in your skillset to work 100% commission Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with homeowners Reliable transportation and ability to commute to assigned Lowe's location Primary Hiring Locations Boston Metro (North Shore - South Shore),MA Worcester & Holyoke, MA Tampa, FL Orlando, FL Los Angeles, CA Pay:
