We are seeking outstanding candidates to join The Cool Ace Hardware Company, Inc. We are locally owned, community-focused, and we value every one of our team members. Key Responsibilities Oversee the maintenance of the plants and the garden section, including stocking, receiving, and tagging new products and live plants Delegate tasks among the garden center staff to ensure the completion of daily and weekly tasks Keep the lawn and garden section clean, neat, and organized Create displays for incoming product • Print out and put up promotional materials and relevant signage Other tasks as assigned, including store associate/cashier responsibilities Requirements Expertise in plants, soil, fertilizers, and gardening tools Inventory management, stocking, and merchandising Equipment handling and maintenance Team leadership, task delegation, and workflow management Strong problem-solving and customer service skills Product recommendations, upselling, and signage accuracy Adaptability to seasonal changes and weather conditions Physical stamina for lifting and long periods of standing The Cool Hardware Company (TCHC), also known as A Few Cool Hardware Stores, is an awesome group of fourteen Ace Hardware stores across Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia. TCHC was founded in 2003 and became employee-owned in 2021.
