As a locally owned and operated franchise, we are building a high-performance team focused on growth, customer experience, and results. CertaPro Painters® of College Park, MD is a locally owned and operated franchise led by husband-and-wife team Jerald and Dionne Gregory . Together, they bring over 20 years of experience in accounting, auditing, and business operations, with Dionne also holding her CPA. After building successful careers in the corporate world, they launched their CertaPro franchise in 2025 with a clear mission: to build a high-quality, customer-focused painting business rooted in integrity, communication, and reliability. Jerald oversees production and day-to-day operations, while Dionne has been managing all sales efforts — balancing both the business and a full-time career. As the company continues to grow, they are now looking to bring on a dedicated Residential Sales Associate to take ownership of the sales function and help scale the business. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with ownership, be part of a growing company from the ground up, and play a key role in building something long-term. The Opportunity This is an in-home, consultative sales role where you will meet directly with homeowners, provide estimates, and close residential painting projects. This is NOT a desk job. You will be in the field, running appointments, building relationships, and driving revenue. What You'll Be DoingIn-Home Sales & Estimating Meet with homeowners to assess painting needs (interior & exterior) Take measurements and prepare detailed estimates Present solutions and close sales (same-day close preferred) Follow up on open estimates to maximize conversion Pipeline & Lead Management Manage inbound leads provided by the company Conduct follow-ups via phone, text, and email Maintain accurate notes and updates in CRM Stay on top of daily tasks and scheduled appointments Customer Experience Deliver a professional, consultative experience from first contact to close Build trust and long-term relationships with homeowners Set clear expectations for project scope and next steps Business Development (Growth Phase) Participate in local networking (BNI, Chambers, community events) Generate additional leads through referrals and neighborhood outreach Support growth of the business in key areas of the territory
Compensation Target First-Year Earnings:
$60K-$90K+Commission:
Uncapped earning potential Top performers can exceed this through strong close rates and follow-up Additional Perks Company vehicle (after ramp period) Gas reimbursement during ramp-up Flexible schedule with strong earning potential Opportunity to grow with a scaling business Schedule 5 days per week (flexible scheduling) Evening and occasional weekend availability required Saturdays are important for homeowner availability (typically every other Saturday) Every other Saturdays 8-12 or Tuesday thru Saturday with Sunday Mondays off This role is performance-driven — top reps focus on results, not clocking hours Territory Bowie, MD → Takoma Park, MD High activity area: Silver Spring (key target market) High activity areas include [e.g., Silver Spring and surrounding communities] What We're Looking ForMUST HAVE
Experience in in-home sales, outside sales, or consultative sales Strong closing ability and comfort asking for the sale Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Highly organized with strong follow-up habits Valid driver's license and reliable transportationIDEAL BACKGROUND
