Retail Stocking Associate

Job Summary Overview We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented Stocker to join our team at Sunny's Fine Wines & Liquors. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the store is fully stocked, neatly organized, and visually appealing to customers, all while adhering to legal regulations regarding the handling and sale of alcoholic beverages. This position is vital to maintaining efficient store operations and contributing to a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities Inventory Management & Stocking:

Efficiently receive, unload, and check in new inventory shipments of beer, wine, and spirits. Organize and transport products from the receiving area to the sales floor and/or storage areas. Stock shelves, coolers, and display areas accurately and promptly, ensuring proper product rotation to minimize loss. Monitor stock levels on the floor and in the backroom, communicating low stock or out-of-stock items to management.

Organization & Merchandising:

Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized backroom and storage area. Ensure product displays are well-organized, clean, correctly priced, and visually attractive. Assist in setting up promotional displays and signage as directed by management. Dust, wipe down, and front-face products to ensure all labels are visible and displays look professional.

Safety & Compliance:

Adhere strictly to all state and local laws regarding the handling and sale of alcohol, including proper age verification procedures for sales staff. Operate all equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and responsibly. Follow all store safety procedures and report any potential hazards or security concerns immediately.

Customer Support:

Provide friendly and professional assistance to customers, helping them locate products or carrying large/heavy purchases to their vehicle.

Qualifications Age Requirement:

Must be between 21 and 40 years of age to comply with internal operational requirements and legal standards for handling regulated products.

Experience:

Previous experience in retail stocking, warehouse, or a similar fast-paced environment is preferred.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to lift and carry heavy boxes (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly, stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, and climb ladders safely.

Work Ethic:

Highly reliable, punctual, and possesses a strong work ethic with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Detail-Oriented:

Excellent attention to detail regarding inventory placement, pricing, and organization.

Legal Compliance:

Must be willing to learn and strictly adhere to all alcoholic beverage control regulations.

Availability:

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay:

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
