Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and motivated Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with product selection, and ensuring the sales floor is well-maintained. This role offers an opportunity to develop sales skills in a dynamic retail environment, with responsibilities that include product demonstrations, merchandising, and cash handling. Bilingual skills are a plus to better serve diverse customer needs. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer experience and increase sales Maintain attractive merchandise displays and ensure shelves are stocked appropriately Manage inventory levels through stock replenishment and merchandising strategies Handle cashiering duties including cash handling, processing payments, and issuing receipts Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction Assist with phone inquiries using proper phone etiquette and direct calls as needed Supervise or assist in supervising team members when required, ensuring smooth store operations Skills Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively Experience with POS systems and cashiering procedures Knowledge of retail math for transactions, pricing, and inventory management Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and sales calculations Previous supervisory experience is a plus for leadership roles within the team Bilingual abilities to serve a diverse customer base are highly desirable Skilled in product demos, upselling techniques, and merchandising strategies Customer service-oriented mindset with excellent phone etiquette skills Experience working in grocery stores or retail sales environments preferred Ability to work well in a team setting while maintaining a positive attitude
