Hiring a Fabrication Shop Lead in Hagerstown, MD Job Description We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Shop Lead for our shop, which specializes in the retail sales of steel products. This role requires expertise in fabrication, purchasing, and sales, with a strong focus on customer interaction. The successful candidate will ensure a smooth workflow on the shop floor, meeting all customer specifications. This is a direct-hire permanent position 1st shift hours
Pay:
$50,000-$65,000/year (Can be negotiable based on experience) Full benefits included Responsibilities Ensure the smooth flow of operations on the shop floor. Read and fulfill custom orders accurately, allocating employees to appropriate positions. Oversee a team of fabrication employees and conduct performance evaluations as needed. Maintain heavy customer contact to ensure satisfaction and address any issues. Essential Skills Experience in supervision, fabrication, and welding. Strong management skills. Proficiency in blueprint reading and quoting. Familiarity with Outlook, Microsoft, and Excel. Knowledge of steel products including rebar, plate steel, I-beams, and angle iron. Why Work Here?
