Job Description

PART-TIME RETAIL ASSOCIATE
(MULTIPLE
OPENINGS
) LoveJoy Pets and The LoveJoy Project are currently hiring for multiple Part-Time Retail Associate positions. We are seeking dependable, professional individuals who enjoy working in a small business environment and providing exceptional customer service. Associates may work at either our Severna Park or Millersville location depending on scheduling needs and business demands.

This position requires the ability to work at both locations, reliable transportation, schedule flexibility, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and assist customers
  • Process sales and daily transactions
  • Answer customer questions and provide product recommendations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming retail environment
  • Restock products as needed
  • Assist with workshops, special events, and seasonal promotions
  • Support daily store operations as needed
Required Qualifications:
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to travel between our Severna Park and Millersville locations as needed
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Strong attendance and punctuality record
  • Ability to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and Saturdays as scheduled
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision
  • Retail or customer service experience preferred
Schedule:
  • Approximately 10-20 hours per week
  • Most shifts are approximately 4 hours in length
  • Must be available for a combination of morning, afternoon, and evening shifts
  • Saturday availability is required
  • Occasional Sunday workshops and special events may require additional hours
  • Additional hours may become available as the business grows

Compensation:
