Job Overview Peake 70 is a new, locally owned and operated medical and adult use cannabis dispensary in Woodbine, MD, expected to open in Spring 2026. In this role, you will serve as a knowledgeable guide for customers exploring our wide range of cannabis products. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help customers make informed choices, enhance their experience, and foster loyalty. As a Budtender, you will be trained at reception, back-of-house operations, and the retail sales floor. You will be responsible for verifying patients and caregivers in Maryland's electronic verification system (OneStop), verifying IDs of all customers, packaging customer orders, using our point-of-sale (POS) system, and receiving payments from customers. As a key ambassador of our brand, you'll create a welcoming environment that encourages education, responsible consumption, and positive interactions. Job Duties & Responsibilities Provide friendly, professional service by greeting customers and assisting with product selections and recommending complementary items and new or featured products to maximize customer service and sales. Verify IDs of all customers and verify patient status based on the state registry. Educate customers on product features, effects, and proper use through engaging explanations. Operate the POS system accurately and efficiently for transactions, including scanning products, checking discounts, and handling cash and debit transactions. Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or taking product orders from customers. Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves and organizing displays . Ensure smooth daily operations and adherence to laws, regulations, and company policies. Adhere to all state regulations and company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Report any suspected incident of a dispensing error, diversion, theft, loss, or unauthorized destruction of a cannabis product immediately to a manager. Perform other duties as required.
