Job Description
Job Summary We are a growing family-owned pet store looking to grow our team! Be the friendly face that helps customers find the perfect products to meet their pet's needs. In this energetic role, you will deliver exceptional customer service, assist with retail sales transactions, help care for our animals, and help customers care for theirs! Your enthusiasm and proactive approach will help to foster customer loyalty, build a strong team, and contribute to a vibrant shopping environment. We are a very fast paced environment with opportunities for future growth! • Availability on Wednesdays and weekends is a requirement, as well as closing shifts• Duties Greet customers warmly and provide expert guidance on product selection and services Assist customers with pet related questions and products Manage cash register operations, including cash handling, returns, and maintaining accuracy Cleaning and maintaining store animals and reptiles. Maintain a clean, organized sales floor and ensure product displays are attractive and stocked Counting out a variety of feeder insects Aiding with stocking/ carrying heavy bags and unloading freight. Experience Previous experience in retail sales or customer service Base knowledge of a variety of animals is strongly preferred but not required Basic math skills, including proficiency in retail math and programs Strong communication skills with a passion for helping others A proactive attitude with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Embark on a rewarding career where your enthusiasm makes a difference!
