Job Overview Join our vibrant retail team as a Bookseller here at our Falmouth Location, where your passion for literature and exceptional customer service will create a welcoming environment for book lovers and casual shoppers alike. In this dynamic role, you will assist customers in discovering their next great read, manage inventory, and ensure the store remains organized and inviting. Your energetic approach and love for books will inspire others and foster a community of engaged readers. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop retail skills while sharing your enthusiasm for literature with diverse audiences. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide personalized book recommendations based on their interests Maintain the sales floor by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and merchandising products to attract attention Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing Conduct product demos or highlight new arrivals to enhance customer engagement and promote sales opportunities Assist with inventory management by tracking stock levels, receiving shipments, and conducting regular stock checks Maintain excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries Qualifications Previous retail sales experience preferred Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers Familiarity with POS systems, and cash handling procedures Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as creating attractive displays and stocking shelves efficiently Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor We would love to hear about you and why you think you'd make a good edition to our team!
