Join Our Team As we thoughtfully expand our experienced jewelry team, Maine Gold & Silver is seeking one Jewelry Sales Associates to join us on either a full-time or part-time basis. About the Role At Maine Gold & Silver, vintage estate jewelry is what we do best. Our Jewelry Sales Associates are empowered to create exceptional customer experiences by helping clients discover one-of-a-kind pieces that reflect their personal style, story, and milestones. As part of our carefully curated sales team, you will play an important role in our continued success. This is a dynamic, customer-facing position where expertise, professionalism, and relationship-building are valued above high-pressure sales tactics. Because we operate on a non-commission sales model, you can focus on building trust and long-term customer relationships rather than short-term sales goals. Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Experience & Sales Welcome customers and develop an understanding of their needs, preferences, and budget. Create personalized shopping experiences that build customer confidence and loyalty. Showcase jewelry while educating customers on diamonds, gemstones, precious metals, and craftsmanship. Guide customers through repair services, trade-ins, and custom jewelry projects. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Contribute to individual and team sales goals while maintaining a customer-first approach. Store Operations Assist with merchandise displays and visual presentation. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting showroom environment. Participate in inventory counts and support inventory accuracy. Assist with general daily store operations as needed. Team Collaboration Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative workplace culture. Support fellow team members and contribute to store initiatives and goals. Continuously expand your product knowledge and industry expertise. Required Qualifications Experience
  • One to five years of jewelry industry experience or comparable luxury retail sales experience. Knowledge
  • Working knowledge of diamonds, gemstones, jewelry metals, and related materials. Customer Service
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a genuine passion for building lasting relationships. Communication
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Teamwork
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment. Repair Intake
  • Experience coordinating jewelry repair services and communicating repair needs with customers. Growth Mindset
  • Eagerness to learn, grow, and develop expertise within the jewelry industry. Availability
  • Flexible schedule, including certain evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak retail seasons.
Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and fine motor skills. Ability to use magnification devices when necessary. Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Preferred (Not Required) Experience with jewelry trade-ins and purchasing scrap jewelry. Experience managing customer special projects, including custom designs and jewelry redesigns. Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and retail software. Basic knowledge of rare coins, precious metals, and related collectibles. Compensation $22.00
