Job Description
Position Summary We are seeking knowledgeable, friendly, and customer-focused Budtenders to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about cannabis, enjoys helping customers, and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. As a Budtender, you will provide exceptional customer service, educate customers on cannabis products, maintain compliance with Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) regulations, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. Key Responsibilities Greet and assist customers in a professional and welcoming manner. Verify customer identification and ensure compliance with Michigan cannabis regulations. Educate customers on cannabis products, including flower, concentrates, vapes, edibles, tinctures, and topicals. Make product recommendations based on customer needs and preferences. Accurately process transactions through the point-of-sale (POS) system. Maintain product knowledge and stay informed on new products and industry trends. Assist with inventory counts, restocking, and merchandising displays. Ensure products are properly labeled and displayed according to CRA requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant sales floor. Answer customer questions regarding product effects, consumption methods, and responsible use. Support curbside and online order fulfillment when needed. Follow all company policies, security procedures, and compliance protocols. Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age. Previous retail, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred. Cannabis industry experience is a plus but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Basic computer and POS system knowledge. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds. Preferred Skills Knowledge of cannabis strains, terpenes, cannabinoids, and consumption methods. Experience with Dutchie, Metrc, or other cannabis software platforms. Cash handling experience.
