This is a fast-paced, multi-hat retail role where no two shifts look exactly the same. One hour you might be running the register and greeting customers, the next you're prepping pizzas for the oven or reheating slices for the lunch rush. We're a walk-in counter serving 20-inch pies in downtown Birmingham — no phones, no online orders — so it's all about the energy at the counter and the food coming out hot. If you move fast, take pride in a clean and welcoming space, and like staying busy, this is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a brand-new pizzeria. Responsibilities Greet and serve walk-in customers with a friendly, welcoming attitude Take orders and operate the register, handling cash and card transactions accurately Prep pizzas for the oven and reheat slices to order, quickly and consistently Prep and restock ingredients, sauces, and toppings throughout the shift Keep the front counter, dining area, and stations clean and organized Refill coolers, restock supplies, and keep displays full and inviting Take out trash, handle general cleanup, and maintain a tidy, food-safe space Jump in wherever the shift needs you — this is a team-first, all-hands role Qualifications A friendly, customer-first attitude and a positive energy under a rush Reliable and punctual — the team counts on you to show up ready Willing to learn every station; we cross-train so you can do it all Able to move fast, multitask, and stay organized when it's busy Food service, cashier, or restaurant experience a plus (we'll train motivated people) Comfortable standing for full shifts and lifting up to 50 lbs Food handler's certification a plus Evening and weekend availability Join us to build something great from the ground up!
