Job Description

Clarklake, Michigan UTS Equipment Company is a family-owned tractor, trailer, and equipment dealership with four locations across Michigan. We are one of the nation's top TYM Tractor dealers and continue to grow every year. We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Service Manager / Lead Technician to run the service department at our Clarklake location. This is not a corporate management position where you sit behind a desk all day. This is a working leadership role for someone who enjoys diagnosing problems, repairing equipment, helping customers, and taking ownership of a shop. What You'll Do As the primary service professional at the Clarklake location, you'll be responsible for: Diagnosing and repairing compact and utility tractors Performing scheduled maintenance and preventative service Troubleshooting diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues Processing and documenting warranty repairs Answering service-related customer inquiries Scheduling service work and managing shop workflow Installing tractor accessories and attachments Assembling implements and equipment for sale Assisting with trailer assembly, setup, and inspections Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional shop environment Delivering equipment when needed What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is a versatile equipment technician who can work independently and solve problems without needing constant direction. Experience with any of the following is highly valued: Compact or agricultural tractors Construction equipment Diesel engines Hydraulic systems Trailer repair and maintenance Electrical diagnostics Warranty claim processes You should be comfortable performing: Preventative maintenance services Mechanical repairs Basic diesel diagnostics Electrical troubleshooting Wheel seal, bearing, suspension, and axle repairs Equipment setup and assembly Requirements Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Ability to lift and move equipment components as required Ability to work a full-time schedule Strong organizational and customer service skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Why UTS?
