Job Description
General Responsibilities Maintain adequate stock levels, organization and cleanliness of merchandise on salesfloor and participate in the maintenance/cleanliness of the entire store. Operate cash register and credit card machine. Promote positive customerinteractions and assist with resolving customer complaints. Walk sales floor regularly, talking and assisting customers with shopping needs. EssentialDutiesand Responsibilities Ensure organization and cleanliness of stock on the sales floorand in backroom. Stock merchandise onthe salesfloor and assistwith setting up and taking downspecialpromotions, displays and events. Assist in making sure stock is properly rotated and that aged stock is taken off floor fordisposal. Assist withquality control of incoming donations and distributemerchandise todesignateddepartments. Price donated materials, as assigned. Ensure safety and cleanliness of work area,sales floor, andoutside entrances: shovel,sweep,dust,emptygarbage, break down boxes. Assist in supporting new hires and volunteers. Assist with sorting textile donations into designated areas. Efficient processing of donations and stocking the sales floor. Ensure standards for quality, customer service, andhealth and safety are met. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to;stand,sit,walk,usehands to handle and/or reach with hands and arms. The employee mustregularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Additional Requirements Understand the importance of daily work attendance, and its impact on coworkers,customers, and the agency. Participate in personal and professional development activities,including staff meetings,conferences, training opportunities, as identified and approved by supervisor. Must have strongcommunication and organizational skills. Must beself-directed and able to prioritizein afast-pacedenvironment. Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license is preferred. Complete additional certification as required. Successfully complete Criminal History and Child Abuse/Neglect clearance procedures at time of hire and when requested. Must comply with Agencytobaccofree and drug free policies.
