Job Description
Goodwill Industries of St. Clair County is hiring part-time Sales Associates for our Fort Gratiot retail store location. We are looking for dependable retail Sales Associates to be responsible for achieving excellent customer service and performing all sales job duties. To be successful as a Sales associate, you should stay up-to-date with procedures and maintain our store's visual appearance and cleanliness in high standards. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Must have reliable transportation and proven record of attendance Must be able to pass a criminal background check Must be able to pass a drug test. Physical Expectations Must be able to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, lift, reach, push and pull Ability to perform repetitive hand motions Responsibilities Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service Welcome customers to the store and answer their queries Follow and achieve department's sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis Maintain in-stock and presentable condition assigned areas Remain knowledgeable and promote Goodwill's Mission Process POS (point of sale) purchases Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service Comply with inventory control procedures Knowledge of Health and Safety Guidelines Skills Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices Proficiency in English Basic Math skills Hands-on experience with POS transactions Familiarity with inventory procedures Solid communication and interpersonal skills A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus Ability to promptly resolve customer complaints and ensure maximum customer satisfaction Availability to work flexible shifts.
