Humanity Capital Region ReStore Position:
ReStore Driver/Associate Drive impact in your community. Habitat for Humanity Capital Region ReStore is hiring a ReStore Driver / Store Associate. This is a working driver role that also supports store operations. You'll pick up donated items throughout the community, help load and unload safely, and support day-to-day ReStore needs including customer service and register transactions. Proceeds from the ReStore help fund Habitat's work building and repairing homes in Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham Counties. What you'll do Drive the ReStore truck to pick up donations from homes and businesses Safely load, transport, and unload donated merchandise Communicate professionally with donors and represent HFHCR well in the community Operate a cash register and process cash/credit transactions Screen donations before accepting items Help keep donation and merchandise staging areas clean, organized, and safe Schedule and coordinate donation pick-ups; manage related phone calls What we're looking for Positive attitude and strong work ethic Customer-service mindset and clear communication Ability to work as part of a team Comfortable with physical work, including lifting and moving items safely Must have (or obtain) a Chauffeur's License and maintain a good driving record Physical requirements (important) Frequently lift up to 50 lbs Majority of the day is spent driving or standing/moving in the ReStore May require climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and reaching in awkward positions About Us Habitat for Humanity Capital Region is a nonprofit organization providing affordable homeownership opportunities, home repairs, and accessibility ramps in Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham Counties.
