Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic retail team as a Retail Clerk and become the friendly face that enhances every customer's shopping experience! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing sales transactions, and ensuring the store remains inviting and well-organized. Your enthusiasm and proactive attitude will help drive sales, promote products, and create a welcoming environment for all shoppers. Duties Greet customers warmly, assist with their shopping needs, and provide product information to enhance their experience Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities Restock shelves, merchandise displays, and organize products to maintain an attractive store layout Assist with inventory management by stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and organizing back stock areas Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing information over the phone Support sales initiatives through suggestive selling techniques and promoting ongoing promotions or new products Requirements Previous retail sales or cashiering experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers and team members Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve our diverse customer base Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math skills for accurate transactions Experience in grocery stores or retail environments is advantageous but not mandatory Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks related to stocking and merchandising Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor and good phone etiquette This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their retail expertise in a fast-paced environment.
