Cannabis Consultant

Job Summary We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Cannabis Consultant to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, educate customers on product offerings, and assist in creating a welcoming shopping environment. This role involves engaging with diverse clients, demonstrating product features, and supporting sales initiatives to promote responsible cannabis consumption. Bilingual skills and prior retail experience are highly valued to enhance customer interactions and expand our outreach. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance based on their needs and preferences Educate customers on various cannabis products, including strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits of different items Assist customers with product selection, upselling complementary products to maximize sales opportunities Operate POS systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and processing payments Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability Manage inventory levels through stock monitoring and replenishment activities Uphold excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting remote customers Ensure compliance with store policies and legal regulations related to cannabis sales Support team efforts in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales, grocery stores, or customer service roles is preferred Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math calculations Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and engage customers effectively Supervising experience is a plus for leadership opportunities within the team Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demonstrations is advantageous Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to foster positive customer relationships Basic math skills necessary for transactions and inventory management Knowledge of cannabis products or willingness to learn about industry-specific offerings is preferred but not required
