Customer Service Team Member — Maple Island Marathon (Muskegon, MI)

Job Summary:

We're looking for someone reliable, people‑friendly, and detail‑oriented to join our team as a Cashier / Customer Service team member. You'll be the face of our market—greeting customers, ringing up purchases accurately, keeping shelves stocked, and helping with general store upkeep. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying busy, likes talking with people, and takes pride in a job well done.

Main Responsibilities:

Operate the cash register and handle all customer transactions accurately and efficiently. Greet every customer with a positive attitude and friendly tone. Restock shelves, coolers, and displays throughout your shift. Keep checkout areas, aisles, and counter surfaces clean and organized. Check product dates and rotate stock to ensure freshness. Handle phone calls, customer questions, and basic store information. Follow opening/closing checklists and store policies. Work as a team with other employees to keep the market running smoothly. Occasionally assist with deliveries, inventory counts, and light cleaning tasks.

What We're Looking For:

Friendly, respectful, and dependable personality who shows up on time. Comfortable handling cash and learning register operations. Able to lift up to 30 lbs, stand for long periods, and move around the store easily. Takes initiative—if you see something that needs doing, you do it. Good communication and teamwork skills. Previous retail, grocery, or customer‑service experience is a plus.

Schedule and Availability:

We're open seven days a week, so shifts may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and some holidays—flexibility is appreciated. Part‑time or full‑time roles are available depending on business needs and your availability. Useful Skills to

Pay:

From $13.75 per hour
