Job Description

Job Overview As a Retail Sales Associate at Blossoms, you will be the face of our business, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, assisting customers in selecting the perfect floral arrangements, and ensuring a welcoming and aesthetically pleasing shopping experience. You will also contribute to cleaning, watering plants, maintaining inventory and assisting with the overall operations of the store.
Key Responsibilities Customer Service :
Greet customers warmly, provide knowledgeable assistance in selecting flowers, plants, and gifts. Always ensure a positive shopping experience.
Sales :
Actively engage customers, recognize their needs, recommend products, and upsell when appropriate.
Inventory Management :
Assist in receiving, pricing, and stocking merchandise. Organize product displays.
Store Maintenance :
Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing.
Cashiering :
Handle transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system (DOVE).
Product Knowledge :
Stay informed about the various types of flowers, plants, and products our shop offers, including care instructions and seasonal availability.
Customer Relationship Building :
Develop and maintain relationships with regular customers, remembering their preferences and providing personalized service.
Qualifications Experience :
Previous retail experience, especially in a flower shop or related field is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
Skills :
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, and the basic computer skills.
Knowledge :
A basic understanding of floral design and flower care is an asset. Willingness to learn is essential.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to stand for long periods, lift and carry items up to 25 lbs, and perform tasks that require bending, reaching, and walking. Work Hours Shifts are 8 hours, 3 days a week. Schedule is subject to change based on holidays, increase and decrease in business, and team availability.
