Benjamin Twiggs - Michigan's Original Cherry Store Traverse City, MI (Downtown Flagship Location) Benjamin Twiggs, a fifth-generation family cherry business, is opening a new flagship retail space in downtown Traverse City. We are looking for friendly, energetic team members who love working with people and creating memorable customer experiences. Our store celebrates Michigan cherry farmers, local agriculture, and premium cherry products through retail, tastings, and storytelling. Job Type Part-time / Seasonal (opportunity for year-round) Responsibilities Provide welcoming, exceptional customer service Assist customers with product selections and recommendations Share knowledge about our cherry products and farm story Help assemble gift boxes and specialty orders Support store events, tastings, and promotions Maintain a clean and organized retail space Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing Upsell products and accessories by identifying customer needs and recommending suitable options Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts Manage phone inquiries professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills Support inventory management by restocking shelves and organizing stock in the sales area Qualifications Friendly, positive attitude and strong communication skills Customer service or retail experience preferred Sales-minded with ability to engage customers Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse customers Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and basic retail math for accurate transactions Familiarity with retail sales environments is beneficial Ability to perform merchandising, stocking, and inventory tasks efficiently Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Familiarity with phone etiquette and upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities Why Work With Us Be part of a 60-year Michigan cherry business Support local farmers and agriculture Work in a fun, positive retail environment Be part of launching our new downtown flagship store To Apply Submit your resume through Indeed or apply in person at Benjamin Twiggs.
