Rivers Ace Hardware | Multiple Locations Holland, Grand Haven, Whitehall, and Shelby, MI Part-Time Seasonal | 20-30 hours per week | Spring and summer are our busiest seasons, and we're looking for helpful, hands-on people to join our team. help our neighbors solve problems and complete their projects. Whether someone is planting a garden, fixing a leaky faucet, painting a room, or buying a new grill, our team is there to guide them. Our Seasonal Store Associates play an important role in helping customers throughout the store while supporting our outdoor garden center, stocking merchandise, assembling products, and helping customers load purchases into their vehicles. This role is best suited for people who enjoy staying active and helping others complete practical projects. Seasonal positions typically run through the end of summer (around Labor Day). This is a great opportunity for: College students Retirees Teachers on summer break Tradespeople between projects Anyone who enjoys helping others with DIY, garden, and home projects Many of our best seasonal team members are simply people who enjoy working with tools, gardening, grilling, or home projects and helping others do the same. What You'll Do Help customers find products and solutions for home improvement and garden projects Assist customers with loading purchases into their vehicles Support and maintain the outdoor garden center Stock shelves and help put away freight on truck days Assemble grills, wheelbarrows, and other merchandise Keep the store clean, organized, and welcoming Mix paint and cut keys (training provided) Some seasonal associates may also be trained to operate the register depending on experience and store needs. What We're Looking For The best candidates are people who: Enjoy helping others solve problems Have an interest in DIY projects, gardening, grilling, tools, or home improvement Are comfortable staying active throughout the day Enjoy learning about practical projects and helping customers complete them You do not need to be an expert — but familiarity with home projects, tools, gardening, or outdoor equipment is helpful.
