Full Job Description Pay:

$16.00 per hour Job description: Women At Risk, International (WAR) is seeking a part-time Senior Sales Associate to join our 44th Street Boutique team. This position is approximately 15-20 hours per week with a flexible schedule and the potential for additional hours, growing to 20-30 hours per week over time. The Senior Sales Associate plays an important role at WAR, often serving as the first and sometimes only interaction individuals have with the organization and its mission. This role requires someone who is warm, dependable, mission-minded, and passionate about creating meaningful customer experiences while helping drive sales and awareness. The Senior Sales Associate is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining a welcoming and visually appealing store environment. Responsibilities include assisting customers with product selection, processing transactions, supporting merchandising and inventory organization, creating engaging social media content, and helping promote the mission and events of Women At Risk, International through customer interaction and outreach. • Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance while sharing the mission of the store
• Build strong customer relationships through excellent service and personalized product recommendations
• Achieve and exceed individual and store sales goals
• Operate the POS system accurately and efficiently
• Handle cash, credit transactions, and returns according to company policies
• Assist in training and supporting newer sales associates as needed
• Maintain store cleanliness, organization, product displays, and back-stock areas
• Receive, stock, and organize incoming inventory shipments
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs
• Run sales, inventory, and customer reports as needed for meetings and as requested by the Sales Lead
• Stay informed about product features, artisan and partner stories, promotions, and pricing
• Resolve customer inquiries and concerns professionally and efficiently
• Record and follow through on special orders and customer requests
• Promote pop-up boutiques, VIP events, and special shopping experiences to customers
• Suggest and help implement new processes, promotions, or programs to increase sales and customer engagement
• Support loss prevention efforts through attentive customer service and awareness
• Answer phones, deliver messages, and assist with additional administrative duties as needed
• Perform price changes and assist with merchandising and display setup as directed by the Sales Lead
• Create engaging social media content including reels, product photos, and behind-the-scenes content to help promote products, events, and the mission of the organization across social media platforms
• Assist in maintaining a strong and consistent brand presence through social media engagement and promotional efforts
• Work as part of a positive, effective team while respecting each team member's role and contribution
• Contribute to overall store growth through excellent customer service, effective selling techniques, and proactive customer engagement Skills & Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous retail sales, leadership, customer service, or social media experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
• Basic math, computer, and point-of-sale (POS) system skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, social media platforms, and internet applications
• Ability to create engaging social media content including reels, product photography, stories, and promotional posts
• Comfortable photographing products and assisting with social media marketing initiatives to help grow sales and customer engagement
• Dependable, punctual, team-oriented, and self-motivated
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt to changing needs
• Outgoing, energetic, and passionate about working with people
• Ability to assist with reports, merchandising, inventory tasks, and special projects as needed
• Willingness to perform additional duties that support the vision, mission, and values of the organization
• Passion for and commitment to the mission of Women At Risk, International to create circles of protection around at-risk individuals Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift, move, and stock merchandise, typically up to 25-50 pounds
• Ability to bend, reach, twist, and walk throughout the shift
• Ability to perform physical retail tasks including unpacking shipments, setting displays, and organizing inventory
