Sales Associate UPS Store Albertville, MN 55301 $15.50 - $16.00 an hour - Part-time $15.50 - $16.00 an hour - Part-time Overview We are seeking a friendly and motivated Sales Associate to join our retail team. This role involves engaging with customers, providing exceptional service, and supporting store operations to ensure a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for retail sales, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits Upsell products and accessories to maximize sales opportunities Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure proper stock levels through stocking and inventory management Assist with cashiering duties, including basic math calculations and retail math accuracy Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly Support store operations by organizing merchandise, ensuring cleanliness, and adhering to safety standards Participate in product knowledge training sessions and contribute to team sales goals Supervise or assist in supervising new team members when necessary Requirements Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments preferred Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for transactions and inventory counts Experience with merchandising, stock management, and product demos is desirable Supervising experience is beneficial but not required; leadership qualities are valued Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining attention to detail Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; excellent teamwork skills are essential
