POSITION OBJECTIVE

Join our team as a Liquor Store Sales Associate and help create a welcoming, positive experience for every customer who walks through our doors. In this fast-paced role, you'll provide friendly service, handle sales transactions with accuracy, and keep our shelves and coolers fully stocked and looking great. You'll assist customers in selecting the perfect wine, spirits, and more - while ensuring all ID and compliance procedures are followed. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Provide quality and positive customer service to patrons and visitors to the retail stores. Perform accurate and timely cashier functions, including scanning and entering sales transactions, basic mathematical computations, making change and handling cash. Manage product in back room and on sales floor, including re-stock, inventory management, and cleanliness of shelves and storage. Perform required ID checks on customers and notifies management of violations, concerns, etc. Comply with all regulations regarding sales transactions and established procedures. Restock shelves and fill coolers with new merchandise. Assists customers in selection of various brands of liquors, wines, etc., advises on quantity of purchases for special occasions, and helps customers with carry-outs. Fill in at other City-owned liquor stores and provide reliable transportation, as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age. Must have valid driver's license with no restrictions and a good driving history. Thrive in a high energy, fast paced environment. Ability to perform basic mathematical computations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Experience in operating a cash register and making change. Experience in retail sales.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of the various brands and the common usage of liquors and merchandise sold in liquor stores. Experience in off-sale liquor establishment. Experience with personal computers. Hours may vary, with an expectation of working a minimum of four shifts per two week pay period, with the expectation that two of those shifts will occur on Friday, Sunday, or Saturday (primarily evenings and weekends).
