Job Description
Job Overview Join our team as a Cashier/Sales Associate, where your enthusiasm and customer-focused mindset will drive memorable shopping experiences. In this energetic role, you will be the friendly face that welcomes customers, assists with their purchases, and provides expert product knowledge. Your multitasking skills and positive attitude will ensure smooth transactions and a welcoming environment. Whether handling cash, processing sales, or engaging customers, you'll be vital in creating a lively, efficient store atmosphere that keeps customers coming back. We are looking for someone to work Wednesday, Thursday, Friday's during the hours of 9:30am - 7:30pm and potential of an occasional Saturday or Sunday for extra hours. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service throughout their shopping journey Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for sales transactions. Manage cash handling with precision, including counting cash and giving correct change Assist customers with product questions Upsell relevant products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked attractively Support inventory management through stocking, labeling, and inventory counts Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting remote customers Provide clear communication about store promotions, policies, and product information Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and a positive shopping experience Experience Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially a plus if a specialty store Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operation is highly desirable Strong communication skills to engage customers confidently and professionally Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations Experience in merchandising, stocking, enhances your effectiveness in this role Join us to be part of a lively team dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service!
