Wine & Spirits Overview We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, assisting shoppers with product selection, and maintaining an organized and inviting store environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, retail experience, and a passion for helping customers find the right products. Bilingual abilities and experience with grocery store operations are a plus. This position offers opportunities for growth in sales and supervisory responsibilities. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and returns Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction Maintain visual merchandising standards and organize stock on shelves Restock merchandise and ensure shelves are clean and well-organized Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries with professionalism and courtesy Handle cashiering duties including processing payments via cash, credit, or debit cards Assist in supervising staff during shifts when applicable, including training new team members Maintain phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or via messaging platforms Qualifications Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse customers Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures Ability to perform merchandising, stocking, and inventory management tasks efficiently Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base Supervising experience is a plus for candidates interested in leadership roles Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining attention to detail This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about retail sales, customer service, and teamwork.
