Job Description

Summary:
Character entertains and communicates with guests through their interpretation of roles based on verbal directions and scripting and will also work as handler ensuring safety of guests and employees. This is a Seasonal Position that Starts now and Ends 10/31/2026. Must be at least 16 years of age.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned to assist the team. Must be outwardly and obviously friendly, caring, and interactive with guests while maintaining high levels of energy and enthusiasm. Characters most often performs with a partner, but may be selected to perform with a group. Required to observe safety/security procedures and report unsafe conditions. Must demonstrate attention to detail, respond promptly to customer needs, and speak clearly and persuasively. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instruction. Have the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Display original thinking and creativity. Must treat people with respect and uphold organizational values. Rehearsals & blocking may be developed at the discretion of the director or designated person.
Physical Demands:

Continuously required to:
Stand (ie. uneven terrain, inclines, asphalt, concrete)
Walk:
up and down steps, uneven and sloped surfaces, including to and from assigned employee parking located at the parks perimeter and employees assigned work station.
Climbing:
up and down stairs/ladders, uneven and sloped surfaces. Be able to climb and descend steps on an employee shuttle bus based on parking assignment. Use hands to handle or feel Reach with hands and arms Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
This position takes place in an active, outdoor theme park environment with frequent exposure to heat, sun, and varying weather conditions. Team members will be on their feet for extended periods, navigating uneven terrain, stairs, and crowded areas while wearing costumes that may limit movement and visibility. The role requires high energy, strong guest interaction, and close teamwork, often performing in pairs or groups.
