Retail Sales Associate 1 Deramus location
Full-time:
40 hours per week
Primary Team Leader:
Store Manager FLSA Classification:
Hourly, Non-Exempt, Benefits Eligible. Pay rate is $16 an hour.
Job Summary:
As a Retail Sales Associate 1 at Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission of building homes, communities, and hope through affordable housing solutions. You will represent our organization by; interacting with guests shopping, donors dropping off merchandise, and volunteers in our retail store.
Responsibilities:
Participate in safety training programs, identify, and report any potential hazards, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our safety culture. Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale system, handle cash, credit, and debit card payments efficiently. Educate guests about Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City's mission and programs, encourage donations and participation in volunteer opportunities. Create a positive guest experience and address guest concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner. Assist with receiving, organizing, and restocking inventory on the sales floor, ensure shelves are neat, clean, product priced, and well-maintained. Collaborate with volunteers to accomplish tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining store cleanliness. Provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance to guest, helping them find products, answer questions, and load products safely. Implement and maintain creative and visually appealing displays that highlight featured products and promotions. Ability to work in warehouse environment with limited climate controls. Process donations by cleaning, testing functionality, completing minor repairs and pricing. Active support of Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City's values: Humility
