Job Description

The Part Time Box Office Sales Associate is responsible for providing outstanding service to all guests and potential guests as the first touchpoint in the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra experience. This Box Office position is a key role, providing guests valuable information regarding upcoming concerts and events. This includes music and artist details, venue and show nuances that will enlighten and excite our guests. Becoming well versed in relevant orchestral and artist information will be critical to ensure a smooth experience with all guests. Excellent phone and in-person presence are required, along with administrative excellence, following all outlined processes with every interaction. The Part Time Box Office Sales Associate can expect to work a variable schedule, typically ranging from 20 to 29 hours per week including daytime, nights and weekends. Actual number of hours will depend on event schedules and associate availability. Variances in school schedules can be accommodated. Starting pay for this position is $15.00 per hour.
RESPONSIBILTIES
Provide thoughtful answers to incoming guest calls and respond to guest inquiries related to concerts and events along with ticket sales and policy/procedural questions. Suggest other concerts and events that may be interesting to guests based on event preferences and upcoming availability. Execute ticket orders and exchanges taken over the phone or by mail in accordance with established procedure and with respect to current sales and marketing campaigns. Process payments and reconcile ticketing system on a daily basis. Perform other duties as assigned.
