Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service, addressing their needs with enthusiasm and professionalism Educate customers on product features, effects, and usage through engaging product demos and clear communication Assist customers in selecting products that meet their preferences and needs, upselling when appropriate to enhance their experience Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and basic math calculations Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure products are attractive and accessible Conduct inventory checks, stock replenishment, and merchandising to optimize sales opportunities Follow proper phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations related to cannabis sales and retail operations Qualifications Previous retail sales or customer service experience, preferably in grocery stores or similar environments Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills in team settings Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math for accurate transactions Ability to perform product demos confidently and educate customers effectively Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases Strong communication skills with a friendly phone etiquette for remote assistance or inquiries Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and retail sales best practices Basic math skills necessary for cashiering and inventory management Experience in the cannabis industry is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
