This role encompasses comprehensive leadership, from team development and operational oversight to financial management and customer engagement. The Store Team Leader will not only ensure compliance with Earth Fare's standards and policies but also act as a champion for customer needs, fostering a team environment that mirrors the company's values. This position requires strategic oversight of sales, labor management, inventory control, and community engagement, all while maintaining a keen eye on profitability and operational excellence. The leader must be adept at problem-solving, proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement, and flexible enough to handle any responsibility that arises to ensure the store's success.
Contributions Leadership and Team Development:
Lead, motivate, and guide a team of associates, fostering an atmosphere that reflects Earth Fare's mission and values. Develop staff through training, performance reviews, and career pathing opportunities.
Operational Management:
Ensure smooth and efficient store operations, compliance with company standards, and manage daily tasks to meet business objectives.
Customer Service Excellence:
Champion customer service standards, ensuring each customer experience is positive and reflective of Earth Fare's community-oriented culture.
Merchandising and Product Management:
Manage the in-store merchandising strategy to enhance sales, maintain product quality, and meet customer expectations for natural and organic products.
Financial Performance:
Drive sales and profitability by managing key performance indicators (KPIs) like sales, labor, and shrink, with targets established in the store level budget annually.
Compliance and Standards:
Uphold Earth Fare's unique food philosophy and operational standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Community and Sustainability:
Engage with the local community to promote sustainability and health, aligning with Earth Fare's core values.
Scheduling Requirements:
Adhere to specific scheduling guidelines to ensure leadership presence during key shopping times and to maintain operational consistency.
Other Duties:
As a leader within Earth Fare, the Store Team Leader is expected to embody the spirit of entrepreneurship and ownership. This role requires a proactive approach to unforeseen challenges and opportunities, ensuring the store's success by addressing needs as they arise.
Required Knowledge and Experience Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in retail management.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years in retail management, preferably in natural foods or grocery.
Skills:
Strong leadership, customer service orientation, merchandising, financial acumen, and team management skills. Proficiency in POS and inventory management systems.
