In this lively role, you'll be the friendly face guiding customers through our curated selection of wines, helping them find perfect pairings, and sharing your wine knowledge. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to enhance their shopping experience Conduct product demonstrations and tastings to educate customers about different wines and encourage sales Assist with merchandising and visual displays to highlight featured products and promotions Manage stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and processing payments Upsell by recommending complementary wines or accessories to increase sales and customer satisfaction Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely Requirements Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a specialty food/wine environment Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities to serve diverse customers effectively Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic retail math for accurate transactions Ability to perform merchandising, stocking, and product demos confidently Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Knowledge of wine products Professional phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or in person
