Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, managing sales transactions efficiently, and maintaining a welcoming store environment. This role involves engaging with customers, promoting products, and supporting store operations to ensure a positive shopping experience for all visitors. Experience with POS systems, merchandising, and retail sales is highly valued, along with strong communication skills and the ability to handle cash accurately. Responsibilities Operate POS systems accurately to process sales transactions, returns, and exchanges Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs Conduct product demos and upsell items to enhance customer experience and increase sales Maintain merchandising displays and ensure products are well-stocked and organized Manage stock levels by assisting with stocking shelves and inventory counts Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with precision Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries Support store cleanliness and organization to create an inviting shopping environment Assist in supervising new team members or trainees when necessary Requirements Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments preferred Proficiency with POS systems and basic retail math skills for cash handling and transactions Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities are a plus Ability to perform cashiering duties accurately while maintaining friendly phone etiquette Experience in supervising or mentoring staff is advantageous Knowledge of merchandising, stock management, and upselling techniques Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude Basic math skills for handling transactions and balancing registers Join our team if you are passionate about retail sales, enjoy engaging with customers, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
