Budtender Altalune dispensary 433 Palisade Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07307 $20 an hour - Part-time $20 an hour - Part-time Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Budtender, where your passion for wellness and exceptional customer service will shine! In this energetic role, you will serve as a knowledgeable guide for customers exploring our wide range of cannabis products. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help customers make informed choices, enhance their experience, and foster loyalty. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of the evolving cannabis industry while creating a welcoming environment for all. Duties Provide friendly, professional assistance to customers, answering questions about products and usage Conduct product demonstrations and educate customers on effects, benefits, and proper consumption methods Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing Upsell products by identifying customer needs and recommending complementary items to enhance their experience Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product freshness and availability Perform regular stock checks and assist with inventory management to prevent shortages or overstocking Ensure compliance with all legal regulations and store policies regarding age restrictions and product handling Requirements Female Budtender Preferred Applicants must be 21 years of age or older Previous retail sales or customer service experience, preferably in grocery stores or similar environments Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills in team settings Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette for remote inquiries or follow-ups Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate transactions and inventory tracking Ability to perform product demos confidently while adhering to safety guidelines Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and retail operations within a fast-paced environment Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and inventory counts Exceptional customer service skills with a positive attitude and proactive approach This role is paid in accordance with industry standards and local regulations.
