Sales & Operations Associate Refined wine Jersey City, NJ Job Details Full-time $18 - $21 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Retail sales transactions Inventory management Balancing cash drawers Refund processing Customer inquiry handling Store opening/closing procedures Full Job Description Position Overview We are looking for a Sales & Operations Associate to work behind the register while also supporting daily store operations such as invoice entry, inventory, and customer service. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people, working with products, and keeping things organized and efficient. You will be one of the main faces of Refined — greeting customers, ringing up purchases, receiving inventory, and helping keep the store running smoothly. Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Experience Greet every customer with a smile, great energy, and a welcoming attitude Assist customers in selecting wine, spirits, beer, and other products Make thoughtful recommendations and answer basic product questions Deliver fast, friendly, and professional checkout service Create a positive and memorable shopping experience Register & Sales Operate the POS system accurately Process cash, credit, and digital payments Handle returns, exchanges, and store credit Maintain clean and organized checkout area Inventory & Invoices Enter supplier invoices into the system Check in deliveries and verify quantities and pricing Assist with stocking shelves and organizing back stock Help keep accurate inventory levels Store Operations Maintain cleanliness and organization of sales floor and storage areas Assist with price tags, signage, and displays Support opening and closing procedures Handle Invoices Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Friendly, upbeat, and enjoys helping people Confident speaking with customers Detail-oriented and organized Reliable and punctual Comfortable using a register, iPad, or computer system Able to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment You don't need to be a wine expert — we will train you — but you must have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
