Retail Store Associate Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Retail Store Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with product selection, maintaining store presentation standards, and supporting daily retail operations. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, organized, and enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment. Fishing knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Greet customers and provide a welcoming shopping experience. Assist customers with product selection, recommendations, and general inquiries. Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system. Restock merchandise and maintain organized, fully stocked displays. Receive and process incoming inventory shipments. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising standards. Assist with inventory counts and stock management. Support promotional events, sales, and seasonal merchandising initiatives. Handle customer concerns and escalate issues when necessary. Follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times.

Qualifications & Experience:

Previous retail, customer service, or sales experience preferred. Fishing knowledge preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Comfortable using POS systems and basic computer applications. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to lift and move merchandise as needed. Interest or knowledge in fishing, outdoor recreation, or related products is a plus.
