Lead Budtender (Keyholder)

High End Cannabis Dispensary is seeking experienced and motivated Lead Budtenders (Keyholders) to join our opening team in South River, NJ . This role is ideal for someone with strong retail leadership skills, a passion for cannabis, and the ability to lead by example in a premium retail setting. The Lead Budtender (Keyholder) will support daily dispensary operations, assist with opening and closing procedures, help supervise team members during shifts, and ensure an exceptional customer experience while maintaining compliance with all state and company regulations. Responsibilities Deliver a high-end, customer-first dispensary experience on every shift Open and close the dispensary in accordance with company procedures and security protocols Act as a keyholder and support the overall daily operation of the store Assist in leading Budtenders during assigned shifts Provide coaching, guidance, and floor support to team members Help onboard and train new employees on customer service standards, product knowledge, compliance, and store procedures Ensure ID checks, transactions, and customer interactions are handled according to New Jersey cannabis laws and company policies Handle customer concerns or escalations professionally and effectively Support cash handling procedures, register counts, and shift reconciliation Assist with inventory tasks including receiving, restocking, cycle counts, and discrepancy reporting Maintain a clean, organized, and well-merchandised retail environment Partner with management to drive sales performance, efficiency, and team accountability Qualifications Must meet all legal requirements to work in a cannabis dispensary in New Jersey 1-2 years of retail leadership, supervisory, or keyholder experience preferred Previous cannabis dispensary experience strongly preferred Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Ability to multitask and lead in a fast-paced, highly regulated retail setting Experience with cash handling, customer service, and compliance-driven operations Dependable, professional, and detail-oriented Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays Physical Requirements Ability to stand and move throughout the store for extended periods Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds Ability to assist with stocking, merchandising, and operational support tasks Why Join High End Cannabis Dispensary?
