Overview Join our dynamic team as a Pawn Clerk, where you will be the friendly face and organized coordinator behind our pawn shop operations. This role is vital in delivering exceptional customer service, managing merchandise, and ensuring smooth transactional processes. As a Pawn Clerk, you will handle customer interactions with enthusiasm, oversee inventory and sales activities, and contribute to creating a welcoming environment for all visitors. Your energy and attention to detail will help drive the success of our store while providing valuable assistance to our customers. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist with pawn transactions, including appraisals, sales, and purchases Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cash handling, sales processing, and record keeping Conduct product demos and explain merchandise features to customers to encourage sales and upselling opportunities Manage inventory by merchandising displays, and organizing merchandise for easy access Assist with product demos and educate customers on store offerings to enhance their shopping experience Proficiency with POS systems and cash register operations for efficient transactions Bilingual abilities to communicate effectively with diverse customer groups are a plus Strong communication skills to engage customers confidently and clearly explain products or policies Knowledge of retail math for accurate cash handling, pricing, and inventory management Experience in retail sales environments is advantageous Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately during transactions Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Demonstrated phone etiquette for professional communication with clients and vendors This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your retail expertise while contributing to a vibrant team environment.
