Job Description

Location:
Texico, NM Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Lead Budtender to help oversee daily dispensary operations while delivering an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about cannabis products, confident leading a team, and passionate about compliance, sales, and customer education. The Lead Budtender will support management with staff supervision, inventory oversight, training, and ensuring all customers receive friendly, professional, and compliant service. Responsibilities Lead and support budtender team during daily operations Provide outstanding customer service and cannabis product education Assist customers with product recommendations based on needs and preferences Ensure compliance with all New Mexico cannabis regulations and company policies Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain drawer accountability Support opening and closing procedures Assist with inventory counts, product organization, and restocking Monitor sales floor cleanliness, presentation, and customer flow Train and mentor new budtenders on products, POS systems, and compliance procedures Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently Work closely with management to achieve sales goals and maintain operational standards Qualifications Previous cannabis dispensary experience preferred Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong knowledge of cannabis products, strains, concentrates, edibles, and accessories Excellent communication and customer service skills Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Ability to multitask in a retail environment Comfortable handling cash and operating POS systems Must meet all New Mexico cannabis employment requirements Must be at least 21 years old Preferred Skills Experience with inventory management systems Knowledge of New Mexico cannabis compliance regulations Sales-driven mindset with the ability to upsell responsibly Team leadership and conflict resolution skills
Pay:
$14.00 - $15.00 per hour
