This role serves as the face of Battle Born Dispensary and plays a critical role in building relationships with customers while ensuring compliance with all state regulations and company policies. We are looking for individuals who are professional, dependable, eager to learn, and passionate about cannabis. Successful Patient Specialists are customer-focused, team-oriented, knowledgeable, and committed to delivering an exceptional experience with every interaction.
IMPORTANT

Applicants must be willing and available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed by the business. Open availability is strongly preferred. Build relationships with customers through education, active listening, and personalized product recommendations. Deliver an exceptional customer experience during every interaction. Promote current specials, loyalty programs, and company initiatives. Maintain professionalism and positive communication at all times. Meet performance expectations related to customer service, product knowledge, and sales. Cannabis Knowledge Continuously expand knowledge of cannabis products and industry trends.
Maintain a strong understanding of:
Strains and genetics Terpenes Cannabinoids Methods of consumption Product effects and customer experiences Provide safe and responsible product recommendations based on customer needs. Participate in product trainings, vendor education, and team learning opportunities. Compliance & Operations Verify all required identification and documentation before customers enter or leave the dispensary. Accurately utilize Dutchie POS and all required state systems. Maintain accurate customer profiles and transaction records. Follow all Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board regulations and company policies. Uphold visitor logs and required compliance documentation. Participate in all required security and compliance training. Cash Handling & Inventory Process transactions accurately and efficiently. Apply discounts and promotions correctly. Maintain accountability for cash handling and drawer accuracy. Accurately pull products and complete transactions. Assist with inventory tasks and product restocking when needed. Communicate inventory concerns to management promptly. Store Standards Maintain a clean, organized, and professional sales floor. Complete assigned tasks and daily responsibilities. Support coworkers, management, and inventory staff as needed. Contribute to a positive team culture focused on accountability and customer service. Adapt to changing business needs and priorities. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of customer service experience required. Cannabis industry experience preferred but not required. High School Diploma or GED required. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must possess a valid driver's license or state-issued identification. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Nevada Cannabis Agent Card. Must successfully pass all required background checks. Must be comfortable working in both Intake and Patient Specialist positions. Must be dependable with reliable attendance and punctuality. Strong communication and interpersonal skills required. Basic computer and technology proficiency required. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment. Must maintain compliance with all state regulations and company policies. Scheduling Requirements Weekend availability is required. Must be willing and able to work closing shifts. Must be available to work holidays as needed. Open availability is strongly preferred. Reliable attendance is an essential function of this position. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly. Ability to bend, reach, stock products, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
