Overview Join our dynamic retail team as a Cashier/Sales Associate at VapeAve&Smoke, where your energy and enthusiasm will drive exceptional customer experiences! In this vital role, you will serve as the friendly face of our store, expertly handling transactions, assisting customers with product selections, and creating a welcoming environment. Your proactive approach and strong communication skills will help us build lasting relationships with our shoppers while ensuring smooth daily operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your retail skills and grow within a vibrant team dedicated to service excellence. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout their shopping experience Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for cash, credit, and mobile payments, ensuring accurate cash handling and transaction processing Assist customers with product demos, upselling relevant items to enhance their purchase experience Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented and accessible Manage inventory by conducting regular stock checks and assisting with stock replenishment to keep the sales floor inviting Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely Support the store's sales goals through proactive upselling and promoting special offers or new products Ensure compliance with safety procedures and store policies at all times Experience Previous retail sales or cashiering experience is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math skills for accurate transaction management Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer needs Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in leadership opportunities within the team Experience working in a grocery store or similar retail environment is beneficial but not mandatory Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours including weekends and evenings Join us to be part of a lively team that values your contributions!
