Job Description

Overview BoardGameBliss is expanding to the United States, and we're building our founding Buffalo team! This is a ground-floor opportunity to be part of something exciting as we launch our first US location. We're looking for a friendly, game-loving Retail Associate to be the face of our store — welcoming customers, teaching games, and making every visit memorable from day one. The Role You'll own the customer-facing side of the Buffalo location — the storefront experience, sales, and the look and feel of the space. If you love board games, care deeply about people, and light up when helping someone find their next favorite game, we'd love to meet you. Key Responsibilities Retail & Customer Experience Provide outstanding service to walk-in customers, including game recommendations and a welcoming in-store experience Teach and demo games in a fun, engaging way Handle sales transactions and customer order pickups Store Operations Open and close the store, including cash handling, register setup/reconciliation, and securing the premises Keep the store clean and presentable throughout the day, including the washroom Store Presentation & Content Maintain a clean, inviting, well-stocked storefront Keep the store visually appealing and well-merchandised Showcase new arrivals and ensure popular titles are front and center Create simple social media content using Canva to promote new arrivals and events What We're Looking For Retail or customer service experience (1+ years preferred) Strong customer service skills with a friendly, helpful attitude Trustworthy and reliable — comfortable handling opening/closing and cash Organized and able to keep a space tidy and well-merchandised Comfortable working independently and self-motivated Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Proficient with computers; comfortable learning new software (Shopify, POS, Canva, etc.) Passion for board games is a huge plus Must be a US citizen or authorized to work in the US (no sponsorship available)
Compensation & Schedule Pay:
$18 - $22 USD per hour (based on experience)

Part-time, hourly
Schedule:
3-4 days per week; includes weekends; specific shifts based on store hours
