Job Description
Must be available to work weekdays. Fresh Marché in Collegetown s is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated team members to join our Team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant food service environment, providing exceptional customer experiences while working in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. Ideal candidates will have a passion for food, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented atmosphere. This position involves food preparation, cashiering, and maintaining high standards of sanitation and food safety. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble a variety of food items in accordance with established recipes and quality standards Operate POS systems Provide friendly and efficient customer service at the counter and during food service interactions Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations Upsell products to enhance customer experience and increase sales Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including bussing tables and cleaning equipment Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to meet food safety regulations Assist with stocking, organizing displays, and managing inventory Support team members during busy periods by managing multiple tasks efficiently in quick service or fast-food environments Qualifications Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or retail environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided Familiarity with POS systems such as Square Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and quick calculations Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Experience working in cafes, restaurants, grocery stores, or similar retail environments is advantageous Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities during shifts Must be able to work weekday shifts with flexibility for various hours as needed Join our team at Fresh Marché in College-town where you can develop your skills in the food industry while providing exceptional service to our community.
