Job Description:
Cashier and Toy Specialist As a Cashier and Toy Specialist at The Toy Box, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service, facilitating transactions, and creating a welcoming and engaging shopping experience for our customers. In addition to managing the cash register, you will use your knowledge of toys to assist customers with inquiries, offer product recommendations, and ensure that each purchase meets their needs and expectations. You will also be responsible for gift wrapping services, adding a special touch to every purchase and leaving a lasting impression on our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Cashier Duties:
Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently, processing transactions, handling cash, credit/debit cards, and other forms of payment. Ensure that all sales are recorded correctly, and transactions are completed in a timely manner. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including replenishing supplies and keeping the area free of clutter.
Toy Specialist:
Utilize your in-depth knowledge of toys to assist customers with inquiries, provide product recommendations, and offer guidance on age-appropriate toys and games. Stay informed about new arrivals, popular products, and special promotions, and effectively communicate this information to customers. Demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for toys, fostering a positive and engaging shopping experience for customers of all ages.
Customer Service:
Greet customers warmly as they enter the store, engaging them in friendly conversation and making them feel welcome. Listen attentively to customer needs and concerns, providing personalized assistance and going above and beyond to exceed their expectations. Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and address any issues promptly and professionally.
Gift Wrapping:
Provide expert gift wrapping services, ensuring that each package is neatly and attractively wrapped to enhance the customer's shopping experience. Offer creative and personalized wrapping options, adding a lollipop to each gift and leaving a memorable impression on our customers.

Hours:
This is a part time, Saturday and Sunday only position, resulting in 14 total hours per week.
Pay:
$17.50/hr starting wage with pay increases based on time-in-role and performance.
