PAY RANGE
$25-30/hour, pay range is based on experience
SHIFT:
This is Monday through Friday from 7 am
  • 5 pm.
ROLE SUMMARY
Riverview Landscapes is seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to maintain and repair a wide range of landscaping trucks and equipment. The ideal candidate has Ford brand knowledge and hands-on experience with small engine equipment, gas equipment, diesel equipment, heavy equipment, snow equipment, welding, commercial landscaping tools, skid steers, and heavy and light-duty vehicles. When not working as a mechanic, this candidate will be mowing, trimming, installing landscaping such as plants, trees and mulching.
  • MUST supply your own tools.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Diagnose and repair small engine equipment, gas equipment, diesel equipment, heavy equipment, snow equipment, commercial landscaping tools, skid steers, and heavy and light-duty vehicles. Perform preventive maintenance on landscaping equipment per maintenance schedules. Conduct safety inspections and equipment testing following repairs. Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and repair timelines using internal systems. Communicate proactively with operations teams about equipment status, downtime, and repair costs. Assist in maintaining inventory of parts and supplies; recommend reorders or replacements. Coordinate with vendors for specialized parts or external service needs. Ensure shop is clean, safe, and organized. Follow all OSHA, DOT, and company safety procedures and regulations. Perform general landscaping tasks such as mowing, edging, weeding, pruning, mulching, and planting. Operate hand tools and power equipment including trimmers, blowers, lawn mowers, and chainsaws.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
3-5 years of experience in gas and diesel equipment and engine repair, ideally in landscaping, construction, or agriculture Ford brand knowledge is required Suppling own tools is required Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required (ie: no more than 2 violations in the past 3 years) Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation Proficiency with diagnostic tools and power equipment repair Certification from a recognized small engine repair program (ie: EETC, Briggs & Stratton, etc.) is a plus CDL or DOT medical card is a plus Welding, hydraulics, or electrical system experience is a plus Experience with asset management or fleet software systems is a plus
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50+ lbs, kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods. Work in varying outdoor conditions (heat, cold, wet environments). Comfortable operating and loading landscaping equipment.
