In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. You will be responsible for engaging with customers, assisting with product selection, and maintaining the overall appearance of the store. Duties Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their shopping needs. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and cashiering duties. Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, enhancing customer engagement. Assist in merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively on shelves and displays. Maintain stock levels by restocking shelves and organizing inventory in the backroom. Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory and sales effectively. Upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support in daily operations. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store to create an inviting shopping environment. Exhibit strong communication skills while interacting with customers, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues. Requirements Previous experience in retail sales or a grocery store environment is preferred. Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive experiences for shoppers. Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash accurately. Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous; training will be provided if needed. Ability to communicate effectively; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Experience in stocking, merchandising, or product demos is a plus. Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries via phone when necessary. A proactive approach to upselling products while maintaining customer satisfaction.
