Farmers Market Sales Associate

We are producers of local gourmet snacks, pickles, jams, mustards, relishes, and more with recipes developed by generations past. In addition, we work with several other local farmers and local bakers to bring a well rounded and plentiful selection of local goods to our customers. In collaboration with the Taste NY campaign we set up our own booths and bring our products to several of the NYS Thruway rest stops in the local area. Employees for Greymouse Farm are responsible for setting up these booths (all supplies provided) and selling the products. A good candidate for this job is looking to: Expand and perfect communication skills Learn merchandising and product upselling learn the local flow of fresh fruit growing from strawberries to apples. All sourced locally and sold by us. Must be outgoing, and able to sell all the products.

Other qualifications are as follows:

Must be able to lift 50lbs Must be able/willing to work outside even in inclement weather Must have valid drivers license Must be talkative, outgoing and willing to talk with customers to upsell products Be organized and attentive to details Must have functioning phone with data/internet to run credit card sales and use teams app Must be available to work all three days Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays all shifts are early mornings. Doesn't mind working long hours Comprehensive and paid training provided. Market hours are usually 7:30am-6:30pm. The season runs from May through November.
