Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to enhance their shopping experience Assist customers with product selection, demonstrations, and answering questions about our products Operate the point of sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing Communicate your product knowledge while encouraging upselling opportunities Maintain attractive merchandise displays and cleanliness Manage inventory levels by restocking shelves and organizing products efficiently Uphold excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone inquiries Support store operations by performing cashier duties, processing returns, and handling cash accurately Promote store promotions and upselling techniques to maximize sales potential Assist in maintaining a clean, organized store environment Experience Previous experience in retail sales or food service is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn Supervising experience is a plus, but not required Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with customers and team members alike Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures enhances your effectiveness in this role Willingness to conduct product demos for upselling to help boost sales performance Knowledge of retail store operations or merchandising practices is advantageous but not mandatory Join us at The Blue Olive where your dedication and energy fuels success!
